This project aims to evaluate the accessibility of democratic processes for persons with disabilities. By creating networks of representative organizations and providing non-formal learning tools to empower youth with disabilities and build their confidence and leadership, the project seeks to enhance their involvement in democratic life, ensuring a more inclusive and participatory society.

Outputs of the project

The main results of the project are:

    • The Partnership Networking Conference in Tirana, Albania, ideated as a platform to discuss the state of accessibility in democratic participation and to showcase examples of good practices, case studies, and deliverables from past and ongoing projects.

    • A report on the “Accessibility Barriers to Democratic Participation”, which explores the barriers that individuals with disabilities face in democratic participation, particularly in voting, comparing the experiences of voters with disabilities in Romania, Estonia and Belgium.
