In mid-March, Kinga flew all the way from Warsaw, Poland, to join us in Liège and start her experience as an ESC volunteer.
She will carry out a big part of her project in collaboration with La Baraka and Coordination Socio-Culturelle Sainte Marguerite (CSCSM), where she will be directly involved in the organisation of French courses and various interactive activities involving youth groups in the city.
Kinga has also joined us in early March for her Advance Planning Visit, during which she got to meet the partners at La Baraka and CSCSM, the office staff and her fellow volunteer, Patricia. Her stay was also an opportunity to start settling into the apartment and her workplaces, and to discover some of the delicacies that Liège has to offer!
Kinga is quickly familiarising herself with her job and the city. Last week, with Patricia and Anca, she went on a short sightseeing tour in the city centre, took a stroll on the riverside, visited the Archoforum in Liège and enjoyed typical Belgian drinks.
