My name is Sara and, as I embrace the oh-so-fabulous age of 30, I am genuinely glad and enthusiastic about joining VIEWS International and its passionate team as a Project Manager.
Thanks to impactful experiences in Spain, Argentina, Greece, Türkiye, Germany, and Georgia, I am committed to fostering more equal, peaceful, respectful, empathetic, and fairer societies for all.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Intercultural and Linguistic Mediation and a Master’s Degree in Human Rights, Migrations, and Intercultural Inclusion from the University of Bologna, obtained after life-changing and inspiring volunteering experiences with IDPs, people with migratory backgrounds, and individuals from disadvantaged rural areas.
Furthermore, I have a keen interest in mental health, feminism(s), LGBTQIA+ rights, and linguistics.
In my spare time, I enjoy visiting second-hand shops, getting lost in narrow streets with colourful graffiti, drinking bitter Turkish black tea, eating mango ice cream, supporting independent bookshops, listening to podcasts on social issues, laughing while watching undubbed Swedish and Polish TV series with English subtitles, and daydreaming about tangible ways to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. The latter mainly happens during long walks or while swinging in some random playground.
Guided by the belief that ‘Sharing is Caring’, I see myself as a tiny drop in the ocean, grateful to be alongside individuals who enrich others through their mere presence and authentic empathy.
In the upcoming months, I aim to connect with VIEWS’ beneficiaries, partners, and volunteers to tackle today’s social challenges together. By engaging in current and future European projects, we can share best practices, tools, and approaches to ensure everyone feels heard and empowered. I am eager to support and be supported during my journey with VIEWS, so please reach out with your ideas and suggestions!
I hope to meet you very soon to surf together in these wavy waters!
