Hello everyone,
In this article I am sharing my experiences about Young Urban Creative Inclusive Tours project’s kick of meeting in Berlin.
Firstly, I would like to give information about the project.
In two years project duration, four organisations from Belgium, Germany, Italy and Turkey exchange on good practices of creative ways of making historical, architectural and cultural urban heritage more inclusive, interactive, and so accessible for young people with handicap mainly visually impaired persons.
In this context we visited Berlin and attended Kick of meeting of the project that was hosted by DBSV between 24/26 September.
During the meeting that lasted two days we had the chance to discuss about roles of each organisations, administrative and financial issues related to the project and made decisions about them. Beside these, we worked on our tasks that we would like to succeed.
Out of the meeting time, we had the chance to explore the city of Berlin in a Multisensory way.
We tasted different meals from different cultures, touched the 3d maps and important places’ models of the Berlin the museum specially created with 3D models.
We listened to the different acoustics of one underground station and walked in park and next to the Spree River.
After the city tour, we grouped our observations by separating them into different senses and evaluated them in terms of our project goals.
I should honestly say that while I was writing the details, I could not easily decide which details to choose.
Finally, I would like to say thank you to DBVS for their wonderful hospitality.
According to me it’s great to achieve something together.
